OVERVIEW

From Byron to Brisbane and beyond..... Elegant, fun, witty & personal. These are the things your ceremony should be, let’s create your ceremony as unique as your relationship, celebrate your way.

Well hi there!

I know this can seem really daunting but relax, with over 15 years experiance in the bridal industry, I know what to do.
Let’s meet for a drink (coffee or wine, your choice) and we’ll get to know each other and together we'll create your day.

A real quick rundown of what I offer:

* A personalised ceremony written just for you in as many or as few words as you like. We’ll go through what needs to be said legally and then we’ll nut out the rest.
* All the help you need with writing your own vows or you’re welcome to choose from the array of what I have.
* All of the legal paperwork taken care of (this includes your pretty commemorative certificate)
* I’ll be available to you to talk, text, email or Skype seven days a week by appointment
* I provide you both with typed cards with your vows printed so you won’t have to worry about having to remember them.

You don’t need to become a wedding expert, I will be with you the whole way through.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

About

I'm a mother, a wife, sister and a daughter. I love being with friends and family, and for me, the two aren’t mutually exclusive. I grew up on the beaches of Newcastle until we moved to Brisbane which is where I called home until about three years ago when we moved further south, landing on the Southern end of the Gold Coast which is now home to my husband and I and our three children. I became a celebrant because I absolutely love love, and I'd love to be part of your day!

FAQ

Yes, I will travel anywhere in Australia to marry you.

There is a travel fee, that we can discuss

Yes, you must give your celebrant at least four weeks notice of your intention to marry, but no more than 18 months.
In extreme circumstance the Courts may grant a shortening of time but this is not common practice.

As this day is about you and your partner I want you to be as involved as possible. Writing your own vows means that the ceremony is that much more personal. I will be there to guide you and help put into words what you want to say or you are very welcome to choose from the vast aray of vows I have and personalise those.

Yes most definitely we can.
Depending on where your ceremony is to take place there may be a travel cost incurred.

The bride is to sign all of the marriage documents in her maiden name as she has not officially married yet.

March 2019

Cassidy understood right from the get go that I wanted a very simple, personal ceremony and she made sure that I had all of the information I needed to make the day my own. Cassidy was beautifully presented on the day and even stayed on to help out with a few pre reception dramas (because you know there are always one or two)

Do Celebrants fly/travel to perform destination weddings?

Cassidy Civil Celebrant

Hi There,
Yes absolutely!

How can I encourage my partner to write their vows?

I've written mine and I'm still waiting to find out about theirs- is there anything I can do without nagging? The wedding is only two weeks away

Cassidy Civil Celebrant

Hi Honey,

Writing vows can be a really daunting task, especially for those of us who know what we want to say, but don't feel we are able enough wordsmiths to actually put it into writing.

The best and possibly easisest way would be to ask if they have been written, if the answer is no, then ask if your partner would like some help noting down a few key points they'd like to make.
Have a look together on the internet and see if there is anything there they feel expresses the sentiment. You can chop and change words and phrases from different poems, verses and other peoples vows to make your perfect vows.
Also consider asking your celebrant if they could give your partner a quick call and offer some assistance. Your celebrant should have a few "pre-fab" vows ready to go.

I wish you the most wonderful wedding day, I hope it is everything you dreamed it would be.

my parents think its normal to attend wedding ceremonies theyre not invited to. is it?

usually its someone we know well but havent been officially invited, like theyll attend one of their daughter's friend's wedding .. just not sure if its something we're not supposed to be doing

Cassidy Civil Celebrant

Hi there,
Whilst it's not "the norm" it is not uncommon either.
Etiiquette would say wait for the invite. Many people have ceremnoy only invites as they have limited space at the reception, however the same is also true of ceremony space, somethimes it too is limited.
