Having a personalised ceremony gives you the chance to say, in a meaningful and individual way to each other, exactly how you think and feel.

Proclaiming your love and commitment to each other in marriage, in front of family and friends experiencing the love, joy and excitement of the occasion, is one of the most profound and intimate moments of a couple's lives. A wedding ceremony is one of life's most splendid rituals and reason for celebration.

I am a Marriage Celebrant located in the Adelaide Hills. My services are certainly not confined to the Adelaide Hills area but also further afield to the Adelaide suburbs and country South Australia. In fact, I am able to perform marriages Australia wide!

As a marriage celebrant, it is my role and responsibility to assist in creating and personalising your ceremony. Having a personalised ceremony gives you the chance to say, in a meaningful and individual way to each other, exactly how and what you think and feel as you are married. Your wedding is all about you, the couple, and what you as a couple wish to announce to each other in the presence of your family and friends, your very personal and solemn promises to each other.

Whether you want a wedding that is small and intimate, a traditional but non-religious wedding , a traditional cultural ritual included in your wedding ceremony or maybe you want a themed wedding. With my collection of wedding ceremony resources, I am able to assist and contribute to the creation of your unique ceremony

Your ceremony should be personalised, wonderfully memorable, heartfelt and loving ceremony. Your ceremony should be a true reflection of your commitment to each other, what marriage means to both of you and a reflection of your personality.

Being a Marriage Celebrant is a privilege and an honour. It is a unique position to be in, to be able to share an exciting part of the wedding journey with couples as together we personalise their ceremony, making it truly memorable. Being a part of their lives at this special time is sometimes humbling, sometimes funny but overall exciting, enjoyable and rewarding. A wedding is one of life's wonderful rituals. I absolutely love my job as a Marriage Celebrant!

I met Kathleen at a wedding expo and instantly knew she was the one for our wedding. Kathleen has such a kind loving nature and makes you feel so comfortable with everything. The entire process of planning our ceremony was effortless and produced such a wonderful written ceremony that captured us perfectly. Through the entire process we were able to liaise with Kathleen with any questions we had and helped us write our vowels to suit us. Before our ceremony started Kathleen came and seen me and helped calm my nerves and talked me through it all. Our day honestly wouldn't have been the same with anyone else as she completed it. I highly recommend Kathleen to anyone. Thank you so much for completing our day.

Kath was the perfect civil marriage celebrant. She is thoughtful, kind, well spoken, organised, understanding and has a high attention to detail. We had a very personalised micro wedding with the ceremony held under one of our favourite trees in a large park and it went off without a hitch! The vows and ceremony that Kath crafted with us reflected our likes, thoughts and feelings. We loved that Kath married us and would recommend her without any hesitation.

Does the celebrant have to do the whole "how they met" story?

I feel like that might be awkward for us. We are a super stong and stable couple now, but when we met we still had a lot of growing up to do (we were teenagers, and broke each others hearts.) We had a huge falling out and reconnected later. It was very messy and all of our fam and friends know that. Do we have to go into that when our life is so beautiful NOW, and has been for years now?

No, the celebrant should guide you on the introduction and certainly you don't have to recall past challenges/events etc. It is entirely up to you as a couple as to how the "how they met" story is presented, if at all. It is your special day and the ceremony should truly reflect a couple's personal style and beliefs, making it heartfelt, warm, loving, memorable and enjoyable.
