everyone says i need to have cash on the day. but what for?

Hi there,

Your special day should be about you as a couple. Parents should be relaxed and able to enjoy the day, so, no cash, messy, messy!

Everthing should be paid prior to the day so it all about the celebration of your love.

can celebrants offer advice on vows? or even coach us?

Hi there, when it comes time to work on the Vows ( which are the most importantant part of your Ceremony), my clients have my Resource book and i send them attachments of Vow samples. On the day of their wedding, when we do the Vows they have both hands together (pyhsical contact) and eyes to each other. I then whisper the Vows to the Groom, he repeats into the mircophone, and then the Bride. This way the guests hear the exchange of Vows but not me, so personal. It's about the Bride and Groom not the Celebrant! They don't need to remember anything as i am there to guide them, less stress. You can read from a small book, but then you break the eye contact.

How to choose bridesmaids?

I want to have bridesmaids at my wedding but I have no close girl friends or sisters that I am particularly close to. My daughter who will be 9 and my youngest sister (19) are all I have but neither live close by and neither are maid of honor material. What should I do?

Hi there, its a real shame your sister and daughter don't live close by as they would be perfect. I think family are great as attendands as hopefully they will always be around. You don't have to have any attendants, you could walk halfway down the aisle, then your partner walk down the aisle, gives you a kiss and together walk back to where the Celebrant will be waiting.
