I dress to compliment your wedding party and theme colours. This may be formal, informal, or anywhere inbetween. Part of my planning involves asking you about your theme colours so I can 'fit in' with the wedding party. If you would like me to wear a specific colour, let me know. For formal weddings I will wear a a cocktail-style dress; for informal weddings I will talk to you about how you would like me to appear on the day. I guarantee I will be fully clothed!

No, it's not a legal requirement. If you don't want to exchange rings you don't have to. There are other rituals you can use instead - if desired - including handfasting, a blessing of the hands and more. Lots of things you see in weddings have their origin in Hollywood - I can talk you through what is legal, what is traditional, and what is optional in weddings.

I can work with you to develop a structure that reduces the pressure on you during the ceremony so that you can enjoy this special time - as you should. This may involve positioning you so that you're not facing your guests, using chairs, limiting what you have to say in the ceremony, and even developing ways of entering and exiting that don't appear to your guests to be anything but just a 'different' way of doing things. I've done this before and the strategies employed have worked well.

As a celebrant, all I can do in this regard is supply a supporting letter and a copy of the Notice of Intended Marriage that has been completed, signed and lodged by the party who is in Australia.
