About

Hi! I'm a fresh and modern Marriage Celebrant :) After learning everything about the official side of weddings for most of 2017, I obtained my Certificate IV in Celebrancy and now have the knowledge required to compose and perform your wedding ceremony. I will ensure everything is in order for your legal marriage, guide you through the paperwork, and be by your side until I pronounce you Husband and Wife, or Partners for life!

FAQ

Whatever suits the couple! Personally, I like ceremonies that are on the shorter side, but still allow enough time to fully enjoy the moment. I love when everyone has a laugh but can also really feel the love between two people.

However, I'm completely flexible and happy to create any style of ceremony you prefer.

Contact me and we can organise a location! I understand you have a lot to organise with your upcoming wedding, so I'm happy to come to you, or we can meet in an agreed upon location (I am partial to a coffee date!). Whatever works for you :)

November 2019

Amanda was our wedding celebrant and she was simply amazing. Amanda was highly professional, while very personable, down to earth, easy going and reliable. Amanda was able to work around our schedule and helped us plan our perfect no-fuss ceremony and respected our vision for the day. While we were running late and were unable to provide our music for just before the ceremony, without asking she jumped in and plugged in her own music to set the ambiance! Highly recommend Amanda and thank you kindly for making our day run smoothly!

September 2019

Amanda helped with suggestions for writing our vows. She texted me the night before to check in and made sure I was okay. She came out to the venue with us to prepare and help us out with everything. When we met with her she really listened to what we said and told our story in such a beautiful way. We were really happy with her!

Do any modern couples still include the opportunity to object during a wedding ceremony?

Curious about this and how it would be done well.

Amanda Alyce - Civil Celebrant

Hi lovely!

This is actually not part of a legal ceremony in Aus, I haven't had any modern couples want it included yet. You could add it in if you like, you could make it funny?! But if someone does object, it has no bearing on the legality of a marriage. Only the 2 parties to the marriage must consent for the marriage to be valid :)

Kind regards,

Do you think the goal of couples in 2018 is to have a wedding or to have a marriage?

Amanda Alyce - Civil Celebrant

I’m sure the couple’s goal is for a long and happy marriage! However, the focus on the day is probably a little more on the wedding as it’s been such a long time coming, with so much preparation gone into making it happen!

Eloping without witnesses?

My partner and I are thinking of eloping but just with our children and no witnesses. Is this possible?

Amanda Alyce - Civil Celebrant

Hello there!

You definitely need 2 witnesses over the age of 18. Eloping with just the family sounds wonderful, but to make it a legal ceremony, perhaps you could invite 2 close friends as well?
