I am committed to helping you to design a unique and personal ceremony based on your wishes for a perfect day.
I love being part of a couple's special day. I have now conducted over 200 ceremonies. The last two were at The Hyatt and Yarralumla Gallery (November 2021). Sometimes couples want a “no frills” wedding at home and I can certainly assist if this is what you want or alternatively, I will help you to design a ceremony that is something you have always dreamed of. I have conducted weddings at the Botanic Gardens, on the beach, at the Carillon, the Sculpture Gardens, Poacher's Pantry and many other great locations in the ACT region and the south coast. My most unusual wedding was on a cattle station near Alice Springs.
I live in Cook, Canberra and I have a wealth of experience conducting ceremonies and public speaking. I am committed to helping you to design a unique and personal ceremony based on your wishes for a perfect day. You choose the time and place for the ceremony, the style of wedding you want and what you would like included. I can supply examples of all parts of the ceremony for you to choose from and then advise about the legal requirements.
Our first meeting will be completely obligation free and it can be either in your home or mine, or at a location convenient to us both.

About
My previous work was in education as a primary school principal and I continue to have an interest in early childhood education in particular the Montessori philosophy. I also teach communication and 'people' skills. I have a good sense of humour which I like to inject into ceremonies when and where appropriate of course. I believe weddings should be a joyous occasion for everyone and my aim is to help everyone relax and enjoy the moment.

My services include:

I offer:
• An obligation free first meeting with you
• A personalised ceremony, created with you
• A presentation copy of your ceremony, given to you with your Wedding Certificate
• Availability to conduct services seven days a week
• A rehearsal before the wedding day and any additional meetings at no extra cost
• As much phone or email contact as needed to ensure you have all the necessary information
• Legal forms lodged on your behalf
Fees will vary according to the amount of work and time involved. Fees include meetings, use of my PA system for your choice of music and to ensure guests can hear the ceremony, all travel for rehearsals and ceremony, writing a personalised ceremony (as many drafts as necessary), preparing legal documents and as many emails and phone calls as it takes to finalise the ceremony to your satisfaction.
A deposit or booking fee of $150 is required with the balance payable prior to the ceremony.
The booking fee is not refundable unless I cannot perform the ceremony due to circumstances beyond my control in which case I will organise another celebrant.

Once you have completed and lodged your Notice we can start thinking about your ceremony. The ceremony can be as large and or as small as you wish. Many couples like a quiet wedding with just a few close friends and relatives as witnesses but this is completely up to you. I can provide you with many examples of vows, readings and sample ceremonies if you need inspiration.
If possible, we will meet at least twice prior to your ceremony at which time we can run through all of the legal obligations and plan in more detail.
Many couples visiting from overseas marry in Australia and I welcome enquiries from overseas.
