OVERVIEW

At Bespoke Ceremonies, Celebrant Emily Hall works with you to create your uniquely perfect ceremony - fur babies included!

Congratulations – you’re engaged!

Creating a ceremony that is uniquely you is my forte.

A ceremony is more than the legal process of becoming married. It’s an opportunity to tell your story and to declare your commitment as a couple in front of your loved ones.

Include your friends, your family and as a pet friendly and child friendly celebrant, I love including all babies and children with and without fur in your ceremony!

As your marriage celebrant, I'm your legal marriage administrator, your love story writer, your story teller and your ceremony stage manager on your big day. I support marriage for all, and am LGBTQIA friendly.

My focus on you approach allows me to create your unique ceremony. I learn about you as individuals and a couple with a questionnaire and at our meet and greet. We explore ceremony ideas together - there are endless possibilities for your ceremony.

I have a policy of officiating only one wedding per day - so I can completely Focus on You on your day

Once the legal components of a ceremony are included, the rest of the ceremony is a blank canvas that we can paint together.

Whatever your style, I will work with you both to create a bespoke ceremony that is fun, unique and with a touch of magic.

Your ceremony, your story.

Let’s meet over a coffee or wine and start you on your wedding ceremony creation journey.

Much Love,

Emily x

Legals Only Wedding

A Legals only ceremony will enable you to become legally married.  It is the bare minimum ceremony that is legally required, it does not include the telling of the couple’s story or for personal vows.  Please refer to the document ‘legals only ceremony description’ for an outline of the ceremony. This ceremony is perfect for couples that want to have a wedding ceremony overseas, but want an Australian registered marriage.

This ceremony only allows for up to 8 guests including 2 witnesses.  This type of ceremony is an alternative to a registry office wedding as it can be performed at your house, in a park or any other venue with appropriate permits.  Not available on Saturdays. Travel within 30km of Newport is included, travel charges outside 30km apply. As this is a small affair the PA system will not be used.

Exclusive Offer
Short and Sweet Ceremony

This ceremony suits a couple that want a short and sweet wedding ceremony.   It is less inclusive of the bespoke ceremony, but still includes lots of love. In this ceremony, I will write your story based on the wedding questionnaire that you complete.  You will write your own vows.  This ceremony allows for a short reading or poem to be included but not any rituals. The use of my PA system and travel of up to 60km from Newport is included.

At the end of the ceremony, you will receive a ceremonial marriage certificate, personalised with calligraphy in a presentation folder along with a little gift from me, a keepsake copy of your ceremony.

Exclusive Offer
Bespoke Ceremony

This ceremony is for the couple that want the complete bespoke ceremony.  Once you have completed your wedding questionnaire I will put together a customised ceremony based on your ceremony style.

This ceremony allows for additional elements in to your ceremony which I will work with you to create, such as rituals, the inclusion of other people in your ceremony such as friends, family or children. This ceremony also allows for the inclusion of your fur babies in the ceremony. Plus, I can either write your vows or assist you with writing your own.  The use of my PA system and travel of up to 60km from Newport is included.

At the end of the ceremony, you will receive a ceremonial marriage certificate, personalised with calligraphy in a presentation folder along with a little gift from me, a keepsake copy of your ceremony.

FAQ

If your friend is not an authorised marriage celebrant in Australia, then technically no, they cannot perform the legal aspects of a wedding ceremony.

However!  What we can do is create a unique ceremony together whereby your friend can be involved in the ceremony, tell your love story, guide a ritual etc and I will be there to do the legal bits!

YES YES YES!!!

I love this question!   I have many years experience as a dog trainer, so I can help you to include your pets in your ceremony.  My border collie Jaila was a ring bearer at my wedding.  Including pets/fur babies in your ceremony can be incredibly fun.  I can also assist with connecting you to pet assistant services so your pets will be well looked after on the day.

Lots of couples are opting for overseas destination weddings.  Bali and Fiji are favourite spots.

If you would like your wedding to be registered in Australia, we can do a small 'legal only' ceremony in Australia so that your paperwork is Australian and then you can have a 'ceremonial' wedding overseas.

Best of both worlds!

April 2021

We planned a wedding with a short lead-in time, and Googling and good fortune helped us find Emily! She was super helpful as we prepared for our ceremony. Emily is warm, professional and very organised, and provided us with advice, suggestions and support along the way. Her useful checklists and tip sheets helped keep us on track! We were very pleased with Emily’s delivery of our ceremony, which brought both laughs and tears, with some of our guests commenting on our great find in a celebrant! Emily is both pleasant and fun and we would happily recommend her for your wedding 😊 Thanks for being part of our day, Emily!!! ❤️

Emily was brilliant. She went above & beyond her role as a celebrant. She gave us ideas & helped us make decisions about our special day... from the moment we first met Emily we knew she would make our ceremony special & personal and she definitely did.. it is very clear that Emily loves what she does & everyone at our wedding commented on how beautiful Emily conducted our ceremony... she is bubbly & extremely easy to deal with, I would highly recommend her to anyone & everyone... she even checked in on me often when all the restrictions were changing around Covid.. I felt like I could turn to her for advise & I often did to which she responded. She communicated separately with my now husband to ensure our vows were secret & special to hear for the first time on our wedding day!

Getting married under the covid-19 conditions was a strange affair, but Emily made us feel so comfortable and calm. I initially chose Emily because she was competent and clear in her initial contact with me and explained the whole process of getting married to us in an easy to follow manner. But what really stood out were her warmth and dedication in making our day as stress free as possible - especially under the circumstances. I don't think many people could have worked with the amount of stress we were under and still helped us stay grounded and connect with one another before the ceremony. She is exactly the kind of person I had hoped to find when we went looking for a celebrant and I cannot recommend her more highly!

Thank you Sarah for your heartfelt review. I loved being able to ensure you and Daniel could still get married despite the restrictions put on us. Taking the stress out of a wedding is important to me so that we can all focus on creating the special moments. I'm so thrilled that I could create that atmosphere for you both still. Much Love, Celebrant Emilyx

Emily was an absolute dream to work with, she took out all the stress of arranging our vows and the paperwork involved when wanting to get married. On the day all our guests were engaged and entertained by Emily. She had all our undivided attention. Em has the perfect personality for a fun, vibrant, smart celebrant and let not to mention just naturally beautiful, inside and out. Em's presentation on and even before our wedding day was impeccable, classy, and professional. Her attention to detail was world-class, right down to the personalised pack she gave us along with pics and a link to her own pics and short vids she took before guests arrived, We cannot recommend her highly enough, dont delay in reaching out to secure your special day with Em. You, your partner and your guests will be thrilled that you shared your day with her!

What should we be asking potential celebrants to make sure they're a good fit for us?

What are some of the things we need to consider or ask of a potential celebrant before we decide which one to go with?

Celebrant Emily Hall - Bespoke Ceremonies

Hello!

This is such a great quesiton and there are 2 parts to it; 1. VIBE, 2. LOGISTICS!

1. VIBE

You know when you go to a party and you meet someone new for the first time, you engage in converstation and then want to just keep talking becuase you just 'gel' with them - well, you have just found someone you vibe with!  You should have that same feeling when you meet your celebrant.  You need to trust that the vision you have for your day is going to be carried out by your celebrant.

2. LOGISTICS - questions to ask

1. Do they have a PA and is it battery operated or need power?

2. Is the mic wired or not?

3. Can the Celebrant's PA play music through it for the ceremony?

4. What time will the celebrant arrive on the wedding day?

5. What is the celebrant's back up plan if they are sick?

6. How much will the celebrant customise the ceremony?

Good luck in your search for your celebrant!

How to honour lost loved ones at our wedding

Would love some ideas on how we can incorporate my late nan into our wedding. Thank you.

Celebrant Emily Hall - Bespoke Ceremonies

Hello!

There are lots of nice ways to honor your late nan into your wedding. Here are just a few.

1. Photo of nan to sit on an empty chair at ceremony

2. Celebrant to acknowledge family that have passed and have a family member light a candle in their honour

3. Do you have something special of your nans - like a hankerchief, broach etc that you could hold or use on the day

4. Invite a family member to say a few words about how Nan would have felt seeing you get married

5. Acknowledge family at the reception in speeches or with a table with their photos

Goodluck, it really is only limited by your imagination.

Much Love,

Celebrant Emily

Can someone help me with my weddings vows?

I can't think of anything.

Celebrant Emily Hall - Bespoke Ceremonies

Hello,

Writing vows can seem like such a daunting task.  A few tips I give my clients is to write down key words or memories of their partner and times you have shared together.  Dont try to write full sentences and dont worry about grammer - just get thoughts and words down on paper.

Allow yourself plenty of time to do this, and dont try to do it in one sitting.  Eventually, the words and the message you want to give your partner will become apparent.

Speaking from the heart and being authentic to you is the most important thing.

You can do this!

Much love,

Celebrant Emily x
