OVERVIEW

Let me create your perfect ceremony. It's about the two of you. It's about all kinds of love!

Being a Marriage Celebrant is a wonderful privilege. Having the opportunity to assist couples in ensuring that their day is exactly as they want it to be is a joy that I look forward to creating.

My years of experience in community work not only as a wife and mother but also professionally compliments my passion in meeting people form all walks of life. That first meeting is very important to me, it's important that we connect and you feel totally comfortable with me.  I love meeting couples and hearing their stories, discussing the day and bringing up ideas that at times go amiss.

I am all for ceremonies that are outside the box, letting your imagination run wild, or maybe even having a more traditional ceremony; there are so many choices that we can discuss! After all, love is love, and where there is love there is no limit.

Let me help you through this journey, lets chat.

Let's see what we can create together!!

About

As a mum of three (two LGBT) I cried the day we achieved marriage equality in Australia. I did what I had always wanted to do and I became a registered marriage celebrant. I am keen to take this journey with you, whether it’s a traditional ceremony, or an outside the box, unique experience - as long as there is love, commitment and joy I know that I can help you make your day, exactly what you want it to be!

FAQ

Thankfully we are in an era where we have a freedom of choice, even at weddings.

Outside of the three legals requirements which are the reading of the monitum (the celebrant does this), the legal vows (the couple do this, and the attendance of two witnesses (over 18), everything else is what you wish it to be! You can obviously add to the legal vows or just keep it short and sweet.

Yes, you can have a very small wedding, no fuss, however you do still need to have two witnesses (over 18) to sign the paperwork. They do not need to be close friends or family and the celebrant cannot be one of them.

Everyone always talks about the things you do for your wedding day. Like hire a venue, get a photographer, buy a dress, buy the rings, makeup, hair, flowers etc etc - but if I'm being perfectly honest here, I feel no one talks about the paper work leading up to the day as well as the person who will lawfully marry you which is just as important as the day itself. When Daniel and I reached out to Ingrid neither of us knew what to expect in terms of paperwork and all I personally wanted to do was just the paperwork without the wedding but Ingrid reminded us we don't need to confirm to big expensive weddings. We can at least sign the papers somewhere meaningful and that's all it took to ignite a spark within us both. We did exactly that and invited a few close family members and friends and it was perfect for us. Ingrid listened to us without pushing us into anything, she went through all the paperwork with us and explain everything, she reminded us of some stuff like bringing a table to sign the paperwork and what would we like to be announced as after we are lawfully married which we hadn't thought of. To top it all off, she is highly responsible, dependable, responsive, professional, very down to earth and simply beautiful to engage with. We both enjoyed everything about Ingrid and can't recommend her enough! She is a beautiful soul and provides a very lovely service. Thank you so much for everything! :)

We wanted to say a sincere and heartfelt THANK YOU! You were laidback, thoughtful, helpful and put both of us at ease. You gave us a huge hand in preparing everything on and before our wedding day.
