What do you do at Easy Weddings?
What did you do before you joined Easy Weddings?
I worked for a couple of event agencies (sales and hands-on event management) – delivering event production/management and entertainment consultancy mainly into the corporate sector, but also some high end wedding clients.
What are three of the most common questions you hear from EW clients?
1. What type of images on my advertisement/profile page motivates brides to get in touch?
I always tell clients they need to sell the experience of what they’re selling rather than the actual building (for a venue) or the cake or a certain service.
This industry is about selling romance, fun and a fantastic, memorable day, so you need to convey that and connect emotionally with prospective clients.
For example, a venue could include romantic images of brides and grooms at their reception spaces. Use images such as packed dancefloors with confetti showering down etc. A celebrant should have imagery of them smiling/laughing with a couple and, also, laughing and having a great time.
3. How should I respond to enquiries?
By phone! And the quicker the better! I recommend shooting a text message as soon as you get their email enquiry, and then calling within minutes. Ours is a very competitive industry, so you need to be able to get in touch quickly with your potential clients and then organise a face-to-face meeting to seal the deal.

I was a club DJ for around 10 years, so I got to travel for gigs all over Australia and played some of Australia’s biggest clubs and festivals over that time. I’m now a celebrant, so I’ve replaced that rush by delivering killer ceremonies for my awesome couples!
