Introducing the Easy Weddings gift registry

As part of our on-going commitment to grow Easy Weddings as Australia’s No.1 wedding destination, we’re thrilled to announce the Easy Weddings gift registry where couples (and their guests) can choose wedding gifts from more than 10,000 products.

Nearly a year in the making, we’ve built Australia’s only multi-vendor wedding registry from scratch. That means couples can shop for thousands of products, in categories as diverse as Electronics, Entertaining, Home Decor and even Travel, from some of Australia’s best-known retailers including Adairs, Barbecues Galore, Godfreys, House, JB Hi-Fi, Milan Direct and The Luggage Professionals – all in one spot.

Until now, Australian couples wanting to use a gift registry had to either visit a physical store to select (and, often, pick up) their gifts or they had to choose items from the limited brands and products in a single store. From today, couples can create a gift registry that truly reflects their tastes.

“We’re always looking for ways to innovate and grow our audience for our suppliers,” says Matt Butterworth, Managing Director of Easy Weddings. “We’re already have more than 61,000 brides on Facebook, we run Australia’s biggest wedding directory and, last year, we launched Australia’s largest wedding shop.”

“This year, it’s the gift registry, which lets couples sit at their computers and build their registries to include pretty much anything they’ll need for their new life together, be it traditional items such as cutlery and linen or more modern desires such as iPads, games consoles and even locks for the suitcases they plan on taking with them on their honeymoons.”

The Easy Weddings gift registry is free and easy to use and couples can set up their gift registries in minutes. Simply click on ‘Registry’ on the main Easy Weddings menu (see below) and hit ‘Create Registry’.

Follow the prompts and, within a few minutes, couples can start adding items they’d like to receive for their big days.

Couples can also send friends and family their personal gift registry URLs and we’ll even send them out 50 gorgeous gift registry inserts containing their gift registry addresses that they can include with their invitations.

Of course, the Easy Weddings gift registry isn’t just about couples setting up a gift registry. It’s just as easy to use for weddings guests searching for something special to give their favourite couple on their big day, even if they don’t have an Easy Weddings gift registry set up.

Guests can simply peruse our gift registry for items they know a couple may like and, of course, you don’t need to be getting married or attending a wedding to use the Easy Weddings gift registry, you could just be looking for a birthday present or something nice to give as a Christmas gift.
