Hi Everyone,

My name is Tiffany and i thought i would start my own show and tell
I don't really know what to post here, but it seems like a really fun idea!
So let me tell you my story...
Justin and i met last October after finding each other on a dating website. Our first date was breakfast for my birthday and he showed up with a huge bunch of flowers and some chocolates. It was almost love at first sight and we started dating straight away, so when we started talking about marraige shortly after, it really felt right. At the start of December we started looking at rings and we came across a wonderful designer reccommended by my boss in Melbourne and designed my ring. After that initial meeting i had nothing to do with it. I chose what i wanted, but when it would be ready and picked up was completely up to Justin. I was in complete shock when he proposed to me on Christmas eve at 6am after our hot air balloon ride was cancelled. I just looked at him and stared and started to cry, about 2 minutes later i actually said yes. I know we had talked about it a lot, but when it's finally real, it is a lot to take in. I immediately started telling everyone that i know as i was over the moon. Justin was a little hesitant about telling his family as he didn't know how they would take it as it was so soon. He told his family about 2 weeks ago and they were very excited for us, him mum even wants to plan and engagement party for us
So now that everyone knows it's full steam ahead....
We have decided on a date of November 16th as i love the number 13 even though it's unlucky for some and both of our lucky numbers are 6!!! So a 6 had to be in there somewhere
We are looking at having the ceremony and reception at Fitzroy gardens as my dad died almost 4 years ago and his ashes are scattered there. We are going in this weekend to look at the pavilion and will hopefully book in and pay our deposit. Hopefully because we have booked far enough in advance, we will get the date we want. Fingers crossed!!
We are thinking of a black and white theme as i like the contemporary look and the elegance, with maybe hints of green to break it up.
I have spoken with Pamela Neilson and she will be making my dress as i can't find any black and white dresses that i like, but that won't get started until April next year.
I can't beleive there is so much to think about and it's so expensive.
I just hope to god i don't turn into a crazy Bride-zilla LOL

Welcome! Pics please, we all love pics! Yup, everything with the 'w' word in it seems more expensive than everything else, but there are lots of great tips on here to help with your budget. Have you got ideas about theme, decorations, invitations etc?

So for our invitation i am thinking of doing little boxes filled with cute littles bits and pieces
We are doing puzzle invitations and they will be in there and i am going to make love heart cookies to go with it, along with the reply cards and envelopes and sparkly confetti to pretty it all up.
This is what i am looking at for the invites, so they will be seperated and put in little organza bags for the guests to put together. The ones i'm getting are magnetic, so they will stick on the fridge

This is what i want for the bridemaids dresses, but the twisted material in the middle i'm thinking of making white.
My best friend (who is one of the bridemaids) will be making the dresses for us
