Sooooooo... a little update 2 days out...
We arrived in Perth on Christmas day and had a great time with Garys family, and got the keys to the apartment yesterday. This place is beautiful, perfect and has a 70m square balcony. It is just what I had in mind when I booked it 6 months ago with the intention of having our little 35 people daytime fingerfood cocktail reception here.

Since then, there was a news story of some young girls who faked being over 18, hired an apartment around here, and trashed it in a massive party. So the guy who owns this unit is one of these narks who reports you for having as much as a sock hanging over the balcony, and tells us when we arrive, strictly no parties, gatherings, functions etc, and then he leaves. He also lives in the building!!

So we gave him a call later on to double check because we are only having immediate family, a couple of friends, and it's in the middle of the day.. he says no, no way, no chance, never gonna happen, and turned all psycho on my fiance!
We are going to fight the guy and even if we get no where I am planning on as many bad reviews as I can manage, and we are off to the visitor centre that we booked through to make a bit of a scene.
Then off to a local surf club, etc etc, to find a new venue, and if that doesn't work out, Garys mum has offered her house for a backyard do.
Wasn't our first choice but soooo grateful and it's sounding like it may actually be better having it there in the end anyway!
Lucky I am a chilled out bride, marrying a chilled out groom!

Sorry to hear you have had last minute dramas with the venue. Realllly not what you need when it is so close to the day. Good luck sorting it out! Fingers crossed.
