I think you do need to try on dresses before you order, whether you order them online or not is not related. How are you going to know what dress style suits you best if you don't try them on?

I ordered my dress (not online) 13 months out.

I strongly suggest you try your dress on before ordering it, I made the mistake of trying on a similar dress (they didn't have the one I wanted in the store), I ordered it and absolutely hated it. Thankfully I was able to go with another dress that I tried on and loved.

I would definitely recommend trying the dress on before ordering it - even if your ordering online, try and see if you can find a bridal store that stocks the dress and go try it on there

Definitely. I went and tried on dresses and fell in love with something completely different than I expected to. Now I'm getting made for a sixth of the retail price :D

Its a personal thing if you want to or not but I wanted to try on dresses before ordering. I'm glad I did because some of the ones I thought I liked the styles and cuts didn't quite feel right on me, they didnt sit quite right some of them. I ended up with a different style that i absolutely love but probably wouldn't have realised if I didn't try on some dresses first.
