sorry, but this is not true. this one of the many myths going around out there about how to lose weight. it's no wonder people get so confused. there's so much misinformation doing the rounds (not necessarily saying this in relation to your post, just speaking generally) about weight loss it's overwhelming.
any trainer worth their salt will tell you that it in order of importance it goes diet, weights and cardio. any exercise such as walking and swimming is good in terms of maintaining general health but for weight loss, 30 mins of HIIT burns fat far faster than exercising at a less intense pace for an hour, regardless of body shape or BMR.
