Hi girls...

So its still just over a year until we're getting married (I know, a long way away but everyone keeps telling me it will fly!)
But we do have some plans starting...here they are, to be updated along the way of course!

Firstly a little about us....
Bride...Mel (Me!!!)
Groom...Toby
We met as teenagers when we both worked at the local Maccas together, we ran in the same social circles, a few drunken nights out, 6 years later and I can't imagine my life without him!!

So to start...here's the ring, he was a little unconventional and bought the diamond first, proposed with it, then we had the ring designed around that


We holidayed in Thailand in 2010 and LOVED it, loved the people, the atmosphere, the beauty of the place, so that's where we're getting married....at the Merlin Beach Resort in 2013, we'll have silver/grey ribbons around the chairs and the same around the bouquets to tie in the theme

We've decided to set up a website so our guests can be easily kept up to date with our plans and I can give them info about cheap flights/accomodation deals, here it is...

I'm going with a dusty pink/grey and ivory theme, so the BM dresses will be dusty pink, but I love this style of dress


The boys were easy to sort, I found this pic in a magazine and LOVED the look of it, the vest keps it smart, but without the tie (FH hates ties anyway) and sleeved rolled up gives it a casual look, they will be in grey suits


Our STDs we made from VistaPrint with a voucher from Living Social it only cost us about $30! Bargain!!


I LOVE lillies and roses and so Im hoping for something like this for my bouquet, then the BMs will have white lilys which will look lovely with their dusty pink dresses


And THATs what we've got so far, not having much in the way of table decorations, all the flowers are included in the package so the table decorations will be simple, tea light candles and flowers, I don't want to take away from the gorgeous views over the beach...

everything looks gorgeous so far and i love the fact that your FH proposed with the diamond!

thailand is an awesome place to get married! we went to a wedding over there (well a ceremony anyway) a couple of years ago and it was gorgeous!

are you getting your dresses over there? the wedding i went to, the bride had her dress and the BMs dresses made over there a few days before the wedding and they were beautiful, i think she pre organised it through email so as soon as they got there they just had to be measured and BAM, 4 dresses made!

We're thinking of having the boys suits made over there, FH got some lovely dress shirts from a tailor over there and my dad got the same tailor to make him a suit when they went after us and I have to say its the nicest suits he's ever owned!

As for my dress, my BM got married 2 months ago and had a bad experience buying her dress on the cheap in China, I can't bring myself to do it, I'll be buying mine here from a bridal store....to me the dress is what everyone remembers and what you will see in you're photos for the rest of your life, its one of the (very few) things I'm not compromising on!
