There is pretty much ZERO point to this post, but its something that's bugging me (and interrupting my sleep, gosh Im a sook) so I just want to vent.
I have my wedding dress, which I ordered in dark ivory. I tried on dresses in white, off white, ivory, and oyster. I looooved the darker, oyster/champagne colours on me. I felt they suited my complexion better, and were more 'me' so to speak. But I decided to order dark ivory, so it wasnt toooo different to the mens shirts and FGs dress. Dark ivory was my compromise between the oyster I wanted, and the colour that would suit the rest of the bridal party.
Anyway long story short, when I took my dress in for alterations last week the lady made a couple comments which have really miffed me. She said, "Oh that colour is... different" and also later on in the appointment she referred to it as a 'yellowy' colour.
I cant help feeling that everyone else will feel the colour is yuck too, like an old wedding dress that has sat in the wardrobe for too long an has yellowed.
Im sure she didnt meant to upset me, but she just didnt have a filter I guess.
So yeah, no point as said, just sooking and googling 'dark ivory wedding dresses' like a crazy woman to try and make myself feel better
I dont have any decent pics, the couple pics I have were taken at night in my bedroom so its kind of hard to get a good idea of the colour and the dress is still at said alterations place.
