If you're in Sydney, I recommend Panache.

    Hey Kristy,

Have you checked out the Sticky: Finding the Perfect Wedding Shoes on here? That has the best list I've found so far of shoe places. Otherwise, not sure where you are from, but in Perth, Benelli Shoes make the most amazing ones, and they're all custom made to fit and you can choose any design/heel/height/material you like! I've had my satin peep toes made by them.... they were absolutely fantastic!

    Hope this helps! :vhappy:

Funny that you say that CountryWedding as I just had totally the opposite experience with Benelli. I went in on Monday with my Mother and Grandmother and not only would they not make the combination I wanted (they apparently "don't do that heel with that design") the saleswoman was pretty rude- after about 10 minutes of looking (without any attention being paid to us) this saleswoman came up to us and asked "Have you come to a decision yet?" and then proceeded to chastise my Grandmother quite rudely for an apparent incorrect re-placement of a pair of shoes she was holding- she placed size 8's in the 8.5's section.

My Grandfather has been very ill in hospital for 6.5weeks with my Grandmother constantly by his side (and my Mother liaising with medical staff and transporting my Grandmother back and forth from RPH etc etc) so we wanted to do this to give ourselves/my Grandmother a break from the stress of what is going on and to hopefully find my shoes, too. Although the saleswoman was obviously not to know that my Grandmother is very sensitive and stressed at the moment (my Mother and I as well, I suppose), she should not be treating customers in this way-she was rude and abrupt and we left the store feeling dissatisfied and disappointed with my beautiful Grandmother feeling embarrassed.

We were willing to purchase at least 4 pairs of shoes (at least 3 pairs of which would have been custom made) from the store for my wedding (My shoes, my Mothers' and Grandmothers' and my Bridesmaid) in theory and then to continue shopping there if we were pleased with them. They've lost at least $1000 worth of immediate business and I will not be shy in sharing my disappointing experience with others.

Sorry to hear that! The ladies at Panache were lovely, they have ll sorts of styles and had exactly what I was looking for: a wearable nice shoe! I'm the worst fit ever, so this was somewhat of a relief.

And then, while on layby another bride, getting married this month, needed my shoes in my size. My wedding isn't until Jan and I know what it's like to find shows, so inlet her have them and I got $20 off my layby. Now they're paid off and I'm waiting for them to come back in.

I find stores that specialise in bridal shoes to be so expensive! Stores like Forever New and Novo have a great range of formal shoes that are affordable and really stylish in the typical wedding colours (white, ivory, silver) and of a reason heel high that isn't rediculous high.

I agree - bridal stores are very pricey.

As well as novo and forever new, try zu and Jo mercer!
Also lily rose on Sydney rd Brunswick is very affordable

Again, Panache. I know specialty bridal shoe shops are pricey, but they have the range in formal shoes that mainstream stores simply do not have. This is particularly good for someone like me who can't wear skinny high heels and didnt want ballet flats.

The ladies at Panache are lovely. They will try and match your dress to your shoes. They will let you borrow shoes if you have a fitting in the building. And they do have layby.
