    Choosing the right.... PERFECT vows

    Postby AnastashiaG1 on Fri Jun 01, 2012 5:08 pm

    Hi ladies

36 days away from the wedding and I'm only now seriously looking at my wedding vows. Our celebrant has given us a selection of various vows, but none of them seem to capture what I want to say or promise on the day. I have tried to write my own, even combining a variety of vows together, but I still come up empty handed.

Has anyone found any really good places for inspiration or found vows that are amazing?

    Help!!!

    Ana

I wrote mine myself, the way I did it though, is I wrote out a huge letter to him (not to actually give him though) and from that, I took a few sentences out that summed up the whole thing and am using those. Felt it was easier and less pressure when it was just a letter, not vows IYKWIM

    GOOGLE!!! Just google 'wedding vows'.

I like Lunaticity's idea of writing the letter though.

My sister-in-law did the same - wrote a poem/letter and took pieces from that. It was really nice.

I personally like the idea of writing your own vows rather than googling. Google to your hearts content to get some ideas but I think it's nice to write your own.
