    DJ/MC recommendations (Brisbane)

Postby Nomes on Wed Jun 20, 2012 5:01 pm

    Hi,

My wedding is planned for September 2013. We are still deciding on whether or not to have a dj as costs play a big factor.

Can anyone recommend a dj/mc in Brisbane for under $500?

    Thanks heaps.

First of all congratulations on getting married.

I run a wedding entertainment company, and I think you would be better off using an ipod than take a risk on a DJ who charges less then $500.00 as they may end up ruining your night.

Three things that people most remember about weddings, the Bride's dress, the food, and the entertainment. So I always urge new brides and grooms to adjust their budget on those factors.

You want to look amazing, you want nice food and you want to have a good time.

You take a risk hiring a DJ for less than $500.00 for your wedding.

Hope that helps and hope you have a great wedding!

We were considering doing it Ipod style as well however then we remembered the few wedding we had been to where they used Ipods and it just wasn't the same. Songs kept getting changed half way through and the mood was non-existant. Off course it could be done but you'll need to put one person in charge and one person only. Someone also recommended using a DJ app which may make life easier.

Our current venue highly recommended Cliffhanges (DJ company based on the Gold Coast) and after reading a few reviews and testimonials they seem great though I have yet to meet them. They have quoted me $470 for 5hrs (they can do longer and shorter as well) and they offer MC as part of their service as well (not sure if that was included in the price)
