Walking past the jewellers on a Thursday night and he grabs me by the arm and says, "I think it is about time you had a ring."

Still waiting for a real proposal, but I wont be holding my breath haha. He is one of the most unromantic men I have ever known, but he is all mine

My DH proposed last year in April... while we were away with friends in Kiama (a place we had been a couple of times previously and really loved). He waited until we were about to leave and asked to have a moment alone with me (were sort of near the blowhole of all places lol) and I thought he was being rude asking them to go away, was thinking what is his problem and was kind of embarrassed thinking he was behaving like a jerk... and then he asked me to marry him lol. Anyhow, I think I was in shock for a moment... grabbed the ring lol and said yes! haha I was still in shock most of the trip home. We got married not long after, in October and things have been great, coming up to our first year anniversary and things just keep getting better, rarely argue/fight and when we do, it is short lived and never over anything major, similar interests/values so we fit well together I think.

Hi.

My FH and I met at work. We were both security Patrol Officers. We would always talk for hours via the phone etc. Meet up at local places to share dinner etc. He would regulary cook dinner at his house and bring me a serve and eat it with me (trying to drive fast to keep it hot). We decided to be a couple after that!

We had a special meeting place. A sports ground where one night I was doing my normal work procedure ( checking the building was locked) when I noticed he had carved on a tree our initials in a love heart. A few weeks later we had a big fight ( he was nervous) and he said "lets go and get dinner". He chose the takeaway place over 30 mins drive away but past the sports ground mentioned above. After we grabbed dinner he mentioned he wanted to pop into work for a minute ( at 10pm!!!!) I thought he was crazy. He took me to where our tree was. Asked me to come and have a look at our tree. Kneeled down and presented my ring. ( Whilst the soccer game was finishing. People walking past!!!). He then added his initial to mine on the tree.

my FH and I had been talking about it for about 6 months, and he'd placed a special order custom ring to propose to me with, so i knew was going to happen.
Then in April, at my sisters 30th birthday party, he grabbed my phone and ran out into the rain, knowing I would chase him. After 5 minuets of running around in the pouring rain, I caught him, and we both fell to the ground. He rolled over so that he had me pinned, and looked at me, and said "You're all I want for the rest of my life. With you, I can have fun, I can be silly, I can be myself, and not worry. I know I was planning on doing this all when I finally paid your ring off, but I can't wait. Sky, I'm telling you now, Marry Me?"

I thought it was the most romantic thing ever, and all I could do was smile....
