My aim is to capture your little piece of magic through the art of photography!

Welcome to Tella Photography! My name is Kurt & I'm the guy behind the lens! I have been in the photography industry as a full-time professional photographer capturing gorgeous weddings, amazing families and awesome portraits since 2011! I'm based in Townsville North Queensland but have captured couples say I do in Fiji twice, throughout QLD and excitedly will be capturing an awesome couple’s special day in the Cook Islands in 2022! The world is filled with magic...... your child's first step, your first kiss as husband and wife, the cheeky smile from your toddler & even though some of that magic stays with us, most is forgotten. My aim is to capture your little piece of magic through the art of photogrraphy!!'

About

My interest in photography began with the birth of our first little girl Teliah and then our second daughter Ella (hence the business name) and my passion for photography has continued to grow into a wonderful life changing experience. The world is filled with magic......your child's first step, your first kiss as husband and wife, the cheeky smile from your toddler and even though some of that magic stays with us, most is forgotten. My aim is to capture your little piece of magic!

Yes. I edit the images using a variety of software programs and my main focus when editing is consistency and allowing what I have captured to shine. I edit all my images to look natural, sharp, clear and vibrant.

Yes! I am constantly on the look out to capture candids of your guests and I also approach your guests at the wedding reception to capture shots of them enjoying your special day! :)

Unfortunately, the raw, unedited files are not available for viewing and or purchase. It is very unprofessional to supply unedited images to my awesome clients who have booked me based on viewing my edited images. It would be like a baker suppling you with the ingredients and you would have to bake the cake yourself. I bake your images and make sure they have the icing on top before handing them over to you! :)

 

 

It varies! After culling all the images captured from a full day wedding we then edit and provide the best images from the day to our awesome clients which is normally between 800 - 1,000 images from a full day wedding coverage!

I capture weddings throughout Queensland, Interstate if requested and internationally with capturing recent weddings in Fiji and capturing a couple say I do in Cook Islands in 2021! I have a motto “Have wedding, will travel!” ??

I would highly recommend Tella Photography. Kurt is an easy-going, fun-loving photographer who knows how to bring out the best in people and therefore capture people genuinely having a good time. He is excellent with lighting and was there for us getting ready right through to the last event of the reception.

I’m not one to exaggerate but if you’re looking for your special day to be caught as a timeless masterpiece you can’t beat Tella photography! The quality and care Kurt and his team put into capturing our wedding was above and beyond. As neither my husband nor I have ever had professional photos, Kurt’s easy going and calming personality made for a natural and fun filled day, giving us photos we could only dream of! The products and services Tella supply are not something you can get with any photographer. If you’re after a show stopper that will amaze you and your guests, you can’t beat option of the slide show of edited photos taken throughout the day and shown at your reception. I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Choosing Kurt to be our photographer for our big day was an easy choice and one I'll never regret, not only are his photos stunning but I've never felt more comfortable in front of a camera. Kurt is amazing at what he does. As a wedding potographer, he has clearly been in the industry for a long time and knows exactly what he is doing. Our wedding day threw us a few speed bumps with plenty of rain on the day. However, Kurt was able to utilise the beauty of the rain to produce some spectacular and unique photographs for us. I cannot reccomend him enough and believe because of his down-to-earth nature and professionalism, Tella Photography is the best in the business.
