Whoa, you're on fire!
We love your enthusiasm, but that's a lot of enquiries sent today which means a lot of responses coming your way...
Don't worry, you've done nothing wrong but just so that you don't get overwhelmed with suppliers contacting you over the next few days, we limit the number of enquiries you can make per day.

I love this question and Im only going to reply shortly as I could write 10 pages on this. I have so many freinds and freinds of friends who talk to me about there wedding day regrets. The number 1 - We wish we hired a photographer.
Aside from quality you are assigning someone to be there to take photos of key images. If you do the thing where you ask "a mate" who is lerning chances are they know the group and get distracted talking to the guests. This can jeaopordize those key moments of being photographed.
Professional photographers know how to read light, moments, how to use flash and not to mention the proffesional equipment such as back ups, amazing cameras. Try shooting a wedding on a bad camera in low light and print them for your wall. Photographers have an eye for the things someone who is not in the field would. It takes many many years to get up to scratch in my eyes to photograph a wedding as you dont have a chance to re shoot the day and you deal with multiple different light sources - you need to think quick and correctly - there is not alot of time for learning on the job really without a good background knowledge of the proffession.
I suggest asking to see a photographers full coverage on a wedding - this will open your eye to the amount of beautiful smaller moments aside from the big wow events.
Photography is an investment - a way to relive your day for years to come. You spend time with your photographer so make sure that aside from loving there work - you gel with them. Get on the phone and have a conversation.
