Of course! We are happy to learn 2 songs for your event. For example this may be a special song for your wedding dance or just a personal favourite. Alternatively if you would rather have the original mp3 of a song played (eg for your wedding dance) we can easily play it through our PA system for you.
This will vary depending on the length and nature of the event. For example a usual wedding reception will last for approx 5-6 hours. In that time we would play 3 to 4 sets of music (each lasting about 45 mins). This allows time for other formalities to occur such as speeches, cake cutting, introductions etc. In between sets while there are no formalities happening we play mp3 music through our PA system. If you would prefer to use your own mp3 player with music you have chosen we can easily plug it into the PA, it's up to you.

Totally up to you, it's your wedding after all. I will say though that as a guest I have had some of the best times I can remember (and some that are quite foggy) dancing up a storm with friends and family at a wedding. And yes, some of these have been during the day.
As a band we have also played tonnes of daytime weddings. And, quite often the bride and groom specifically say something like "there probably won't be any dancing"... But 99% of the time there is dancing. Not necessarily a lot of dancing, but dancing none the less. Usually towards the end of the event. If you hire a band they/we can react quickly to changes in the vibe and react accordingly.
So my advice would be - it's totally fine if people don't dance. Maybe that's just not what you're looking for with your wedding. But I would prepare for the possibility that it will happen at some stage. So have an area prepared.
We break it down to this formula: Australians + Happiness + Alcohol + Music = DANCING.

Well, it depends on what part of the wedding you are referring to! For the first dance it is important that the song is meaningful to you both. Some songs we have played recently for the first dance include:

For later in the night, you will need songs that cater to a large age range. Can't go wrong with classic hits of the 80s (foot loose, Take on me etc..) and then some more modern tunes later on (Mr Brightside, Shut up and dance)
