Hi Lucy,

In addition to your make-up trial, why not consider also having a trial Facial Harmony treatment?!

Facial Harmony is a gentle natural facelift which smooths the skin and gives you a radiant glow. Having a Facial Harmony treatment in the week prior to your make-up trial will enhance your natural beauty, and you'll present your Make-Up Artist with a great start to your make-up trial.

This will also give you the opportunity to feel confident with your entire beauty plan for your wedding, and give you confidence in Facial Harmony. Facial Harmony is not well known, but it's truly worth the experience. Best wishes for your wedding xx

I would recomend between 1-1.5 hours max for makeup only. If you have ideas already saved with a good idea of what you would like, this will help. Also try and book your hair on the same day to get a feel for the whole look. this will bring your time up to 2-3 hours for both hair and makeup. Try to enjoy the experience and make the most of being pampered!

I tell my clients to allow 2 hours.

This includes consult time,  proper skin preparation, and  full makeup  application..

This time also allows for big changes or small tweaks. Afterwards a detailed face chart is drawn so application time on the day is halved.

Time will be shortened if you have short hair and immaculate skin.

A makeup trail should take anywhere from, one hour to a one hour and half !

I would definitely recommend an hour to an hour and a half for the trial. I also recommend doing your trial fairly early on. Nothing worse than absolutely hating the look after the trial and only having a month or two to find someone new for your wedding date. I have had this call A LOT. Also give your makeup artist loads of ideas to work off, what she might like and what you may like could be completely different things.

Best of luck! xx

Hello lovely, I would recommend setting aside at least 1.5hours for makeup trial. My makeup application time is usually within 40mins but as it's a trial, there is consultation time and the time needed to change looks etc if the bride isn't happy / indecisive with the final look.

A makeup trial takes about an hour, but you can take as much time as you like until you are happy with the look you are after.

I normally allow 1.5 hours for a makeup trial. Its a good idea to come with clean skin and preferably exfoliated that day or the night before. This will ensure the makeup goes on beautifully. Its a good idea to bring some pictures of your dress if possible and ideas of how you think you will have your hair so the MUA can design a style that not only makes you look beautiful but compliments your hair and dress style too.

Hello Lucy P.

Makeup trials are usually about an hour and a half depending on the stylist and the consult. Best to not book anything else (ie hair trial or dress fittings) too soon after just in case you run over time.

Good Luck with your wedding.
