Hi Mon,

Professional Fine Retail stores of Mori Lee would need only 1 fitting before, and one more after your dress is made...

I make each wedding gown myself so number of fittings is adjusted to needs of the bride and gown design as some will need more adjustments than others.. Minimum 5 fittings is required.

Dear Mon

Regarding the fittings it all depends if you are getting gown made by the designer or ordering from existing range.

For made to measure you will need about to 4 to 6 fittings depending how complicated the gown design. Note you will need correct shoes for most fittings.

For ordering from rack - existing style it would take about 2 fittings one to try when the gown arrives and if not perfect - mainly double checking the length - you will need correct shoes for all fittings. Assuming the second fitting is OK you will pick up the gown.

Hi Mon, It depends on how accurate the first measurements have been done. The more accurate they are, the likelier the dress will fit well. We make and ship dresses all over the world and our dress fits the customers 95% of the time. For customer who can visit our studio in Queensland, normally only 1 fitting need to be done. We customise all sort of wedding dresses so all the size, length and design have been agreed on from the beginning. This is why mistakes can be avoided. We can make the back of the dress as lace up back so it can easily fit a few sizes down and a few sizes up. If you don't like lace up back, our change over time is very fast for as well. Normally we only need the dress to be booked from 3-4 months in advance! Best Regards, Alex from Destiny Chic - www.destinychic.com.au

after your measurements are taken you will need to have at least three fittings, with the last fitting being in the week of the wedding as brides can lose a couple of kilos in a few days.

So you want to make sure your gown fits perfectly.

So have the finale fit on a Tuesday and pick up the gown on a Thursday Friday, ready for the weekend.

You will have a minimum of 3 fittings up to as many as you need. We don't restrict how many you have as we want to alter your dress to fit you perfectly.

This honestly comes down to how well your correct size fits you and whether you want any slight design elements changed to the gown. We have had brides in, where a size 12 for example, has fit them perfectly and all they need altered is the hem! Other brides, want to change necklines, add sleeves or want the gown to be more fitted for example, therefore you could have up to 3 or 4 fittings to alter the gown and to have it fitting perfectly, exactly the way you want it. This is why we recommend a minimum of 6 months to order a gown in, so we have time to get the gown fitted correctly and to your liking.
