does it cost more to have multiple flavours in a 3 tiered cake? each tier a different flavour?

Dream Cakes by Dorita

Hi.  At my shop depending on the flavours I charge the same, but sometimes it may differ an extra $50.00 dollars extra. It's not unusual to charge extra. If it was a choc spiced fruit cake or almond orange cake it would be extra.

Thankyou dorita.

Do I cut the top tier or bottom tier of my wedding cake?

Hi, I have two questions in one. First of all, when cutting the cake, are we supposed to cut the top tier or the bottom tier? Secondly, which leg should the garter go on?

Dream Cakes by Dorita

Hi.

To answer your questions.

You usually cut the bottom tier.

Traditionally, the top tier was kept for the first anniversary or christening but now a days with the variety of cakes, both traditional and non-traditional, the bride and groom can basically have any cake flavour and shape you can imagine... and for that matter you can cut which ever tier you like. Remember it's your day. Enjoy yourself.

In regards to the garter and what leg, I'm not actually sure. But I wore mine on my left leg, I hope that helps a little.

Thanks Dorita.
