Bon Appe-Sweet came from a hobby and a love of decorating cakes. As baker, decorator and owner of this small home-based business, Lynda was decorating from a young age as she grew up watching her mother decorate cakes. This is where Lynda’s creativity flourished and her love for the craft of cake decorating started. With any wedding cake enquiry, I do offer a complimentary tasting appointment for all of my bridal couples - this involves us meeting face to face at a mutually suitable time at the shop (which is based in Central South Morang Shopping Centre) so that we can further discuss any requirements that you may have with regard to decoration, as well as offering you the opportunity to sample up to 4-5 flavours of cake and fillings/icings.
Nothing, other than an hour of your time. Our Complimentary Tasting Appointments are exactly that, Complimentary. I would prefer to spend this one on one time with you and your fiance so that we get to know you a little and determine how we can assist with your cake needs for your special day. This is just one of the complimentary services we offer to all our bridal couples.

Hi!
Thank you for asking - we would recommend giving your cake supplier as much notice as possible. This allows them the time to plan for your booking or to source florals or other materials needed for your design (especially if they are coming from overseas or are hard to source items).
Most of our couples are booking generally 3-6 months in advance, however if we have shorter notice than that and we have the capacity to accept the order then we generally will help if we can.

How far in advance do we need to book a wedding cake?
What's the usual lead time on a wedding cake including tastings please?

As we are living with ever-changing circumstances due to Covid and lockdowns, it would be best to book as early as possible. Any orders that are affected by lockdowns and postponements are continuously being reshuffled to alternative dates. If we are locked down again on your wedding date, we will work with you to reschedule your order to an alternative date.
Our tastings are held by appointment only, and these are always worked around a time that is suitable to both the bridal couple and our availability.
Is it possible to have a cake, cookies and donuts or is that too OTT?
