Welcome to what I hope will be the start of a fun and great adventure to your special day.

Let me say straight off the bat - I love a good wedding! That's why I became Celebrant. As someone who had the amazing experience of a truly great Celebrant I want to do the same for all the couples I work with.

Sydney, is it just me or does the landscape need a little livening up!

A wedding is not about doing the same Ceremony time and time again and change it to slightly suit you and your personality. Each ceremony needs to be unique, just like you. I can promise you wholeheartedly that no two ceremonies I do are the same...but this is not just the words we use, it's the entire thing: The tone, the delivery style and the atmosphere we create.

Far surpassed our high expectations, Anthony was an amazing Celebrant! He was so funny, and easily got our friends and family to relax, laugh and enjoy the ceremony. The most common comment we got afterwards was that he must already be our friend, he seemed to know us so well! We both work in the wedding industry and have seen a lot of celebrants, and Anthony is one of the very best. Anthony is one of the most beautiful and loving people I have ever met and made our wedding so full of love, kindness and joy! Anthony is fantastic, from the first time Kate and I met with Anthony, he understood exactly what we wanted to achieve from our wedding ceremony. The development of the ceremony process was fantastic, and Anthony communicated and let us know exactly what to expect and when. This lead to a fantastic well scripted, well rehursed ceremony, that people thoroughly enjoyed! I cant thank Anthony enough for the day, it contributed to a fantastic wedding!

I know how important a celebrant is, but how much is too much?

One celebrant I like charges $1200, but I know a lot of celebrants charge half of that. Why is there such a difference? Is it comparable to music in that it's a "taste" thing? Or a talent thing? It's not like I can "taste test" like a cake or listen to a song.. it's hard to justify because by the time you get the service, you've LONG paid and if you're disappointed it's too late! Advice please!

Hey There,

Hoping I can provide a little bit of help and general advice. In terms of the variation, this exists because Celebrants are able to choose and set their own fees in accordance to what they think they are worth.

Now in regards to why some Celebrants will charge more it can be down to a few factors: Experience, skill, style, how 'in demand' they areor entertainment factor. At the end of the day probably the most important thing for you and your fiancé to consider is what style that will suit and represent you best on your big day. But you will find ultImately there is a good reason why some Celebrants charge at the upper end.

If you are wanting to know more to get a greater level of comfort around your choice, you can see if there is video of them doing a ceremony, see if they can share any previous ceremony wording and most importantly meet them face to face. Reviews are also a great source to see what others have said about them.
