My name is Ingrid Reiger and I have been a marriage celebrant since April 2010. I want to help people create something beautiful on a special day in their lives.
I love people and their stories. I know each couple is unique and I love creating a ceremony based on this individuality and making you smile and enjoy your ceremony. I understand the modern bride and groom and think I can help with what you are looking for. I also believe strongly in the institution of marriage, whilst still hoping it evolves and changes with our world. I have a home office and can meet with you day or evening. I put a lot of thought into every facet of the ceremony and plan each stage with you and for you. I would love to meet with you and get to know what it is you are looking for.
When planning a wedding ceremony, my services to you include:
• Initial phone calls and meetings for the two of you to meet and interview me
• If you choose my services, any follow-up meetings required, including planning (this is usually encompassed in the initial meeting, however, it may take two meetings)
• E-mails and phone calls as required
• Preparation of all legal documents prior to the ceremony
• Planning and scripting the marriage ceremony format and layout
• One full rehearsal
• The ceremony on the day of your wedding
• Lodging of all documents with Births, Deaths and Marriages here in Perth

I have been a marriage celebrant since 2010, Funeral celebrant since 2014 and a Celebrant trainer since 2017. I absolutely love, live and breathe celebrancy. I have a zest for this job which brings me such joy. I hope to pass this on and replicate it through you and your fab ceremony that you no doubt have been dreaming of!!

Does the celebrant have to do the whole "how they met" story?
I feel like that might be awkward for us. We are a super stong and stable couple now, but when we met we still had a lot of growing up to do (we were teenagers, and broke each others hearts.) We had a huge falling out and reconnected later. It was very messy and all of our fam and friends know that. Do we have to go into that when our life is so beautiful NOW, and has been for years now?

Of course not! This is the story of you, and that may be told in many ways. A good celebrant will interview YOU and find out what YOU are looking for and how you want YOUR story told. Many tactful ways and elements of symbolism can be used to tell a story, and a wonderful journey to be refelcted upon. It is in the skill of script writing that a celebrant will work these elements into your service to refelct the way in which you want to say the things about your life, your journey, your day!!
Do celebrants usually recommend pre-marriage counselling or courses?

Yes, because we are required to do so by law!! I have looked into some good Pre-Marriage Counselling in my local area and greater Perth, as many of my brides and grooms come to me from far and wide!! I have brochures and information available to give out.
