Simone Towndrow-Smith is a personable and professional Civil Celebrant registered with the Commonwealth of Australia. Living in Mentone with her husband, son and ageing dog, she loves Dancesport (ballroom dancing), is an avid golfer and regularly hosts functions as an emcee. She is modern, fun, and impeccably groomed whom has over 20 years public speaking experience. This makes her a popular choice amongst couples. FAQ
Every ceremony is different with wording specifically centred around the couple. The Marriage Act under Australian Law requires the following:
* The celebrant must introduce him/herself at the beginning of the ceremony
* The Monitum must be said before the exchange of vows.
No official documents are required when we meet and discuss your special event. However, for renewal of vows and other ceremonies, it is beneficial and more personal if you can familiarise yourself with dates and times of significant events to include in the ceremony. For Namings/Welcomings, you will need to establish who will be the guardians or mentors of your child and obtain their verbal consent.
Your personal information will be not be used for any other purpose than to complete the necessary paperwork and certificates for the ceremony. We do not pass on or sell any information collected, or disclose the contents to any other person, use it for any purpose, or store or copy the information in any form. Simone often works with high profile clients. She is happy to sign a Confidentiality Agreement if required.
Simone commits to:
Absolutely. Providing the location is safe and secure and does not pose any occupational risk. ie: on the side of a cliff near falling rocks or close to a water edge. It is always a great idea to have a contingency plan if you are planning a wedding or event outdoors in case of bad weather.
Simone will blend in to suit your event colouring as required. She believes it is important that couples are the centre of attention and not the Celebrant. Simone is happy to blend in with a theme at your special event. (Any hired costuming is at additional cost)
