OVERVIEW

Weddings - The Way You Want It!

Civil Ceremonies have become the ever popular alternative to a Church Service. Your Wedding Day is a special day and you want it to be unique and memorable for all the right reasons.

The type of ceremony is your choice. You might want to have a traditional, classic style ceremony. You might opt for an alternative ceremony. Or maybe dare to be very different. As I said, the choice is yours. You are limited only by your own imaginations.

You may want to “totally” create your own ceremony. You may need a little (or a lot) of help from me. I will make sure that the words you want to say flow well, are legal and come straight from your hearts.

Lynda was our celebrant, she was so welcoming, friendly and formal. She always invited us into her home for a chat, cup of tea and made the process very comfortable and exciting. On the day she did a wonderful job and we were extremely happy.

who are the witnesses if you elope?

Celebrant Lynda Payne

I have performed many ceremonies where the couple have eloped.  Usually older couples who have been married before, have been together a long time already, or just dont want all the bells and whistles. They literally have everything, and don't want wedding presents, and strangely enough, they have all but one couple, come from South Australia??  My husband has been a witness many times, and so have some of my nurses.  I do like them to all meet however, at least a couple of days before the ceremony takes place if possible.

If my divorce is not finalised, but I want to remarry... can I file a Notice of Intention to Marry?

Celebrant Lynda Payne

Of course you can.  You just cannot be married until the final divorce has been granted and has been deemed effective from..................

is there an extra charge to have a rehearsal?

Celebrant Lynda Payne

Not usually.  Your celebrant usually factors this into their quote anyway.  I don't use the term "rehearsal" as it conjures up visions of all these big American do's with huge dinner party's afterwards.  I tend to refer to this as a "walkthrough" of the ceremony.  I have had a couple of people request no walkthrough at all, as they only had a couple of guests.  Also, it isnt always easy to get everyone there who should be there, all on the same day.  I do advise my couples though, to try and keep it just to members of the Official Party and other participants, such as readers of poems etc.  Otherwise you lose the "wow" factor on the day.
