OVERVIEW

Say “I do” (or "Hell Yeah") exactly how you want to. "Amber needs more than 5 stars! She is absolutely amazing! She goes above and beyond!" A+R 2022

An awesome ceremony is entertaining and engaging so your guests don’t just enjoy your wedding, they rave about it!

That is why selecting a celebrant is not just about the getting the legal stuff done.

By taking the time to get to know you, l am able to completely personalise your ceremony and experience.

We met at a time and location convenient for you, as many times as you need, to plan a ceremony that is word for word what you want.

If you are romantic, your ceremony should be too. If you are funny, let's have a laugh. If you are brutally honest - buckle up!

It’s your wedding, so l am up for anything! That could mean dress-up themes, speaking in a different language, traditional or a surprise – it’s up to you.

For 13 years l have been enriching the celebrations in people's lives by helping to tell their unique story and l absolutely love doing it. Is it your turn?

Elopement/get hitched package was easy and exactly what we were looking for. Excellent communication and prompt with any paperwork or questions we had.

Amber was amazing. She tailored the ceremony to me and my now husband's likes. Amber made sure our day was about us, she also encourage our to be our awkward and loveable selves. We can not thank Amber enough for making us feel so comfortable.

Amber was very easy to communicate with, nothing was too much trouble, she was friendly and engaging. Amber made us feel relaxed, she was well organised and she provided us with an ideas package which was invaluable when we were planning and writing our ceremony. Amber provided an invoice that was clearly itemised so we knew exactly what we were paying for. We would highly recommend Amber.

Melbourne indoor ceremony ideas!

We are having a winter wedding and want an indoor wedding ceremony! Any ideas that aren't based in the CBD?

Amber the Celebrant

Weather is one thing you can't predict so it is smart to plan an indoor wedding at that time of year. Some beautiful places out of the CBD for indoor ceremonies are:

North West: Emu Bottom, Roombas, Goona Warra, Overnewton Castle

West: Windmill Gardens, La gomme rouge, Shadowfax winery

East: Lyrebird Falls, Poets Lane, Linley Estate

South East: Brighton Savoy, Riva St Kilda

Or - go to your favourite local café/restaurant/bar and ask them what they would do for you. Some venues will move 'mountains' to create your special day.

How does one handle someone bringing a baby to a kids-free wedding?

I didn't know what category to put this in, but my partner and I opted for a totally child-free wedding however we have a guest who has simply decided her grandchild ( a 23week baby) will be coming along - without asking anyone! The parents are invited to the wedding but only one set of grandparents. I know the other set is available to babysit (and would be delighted to) but the guest is simply insisting that the baby will just come along (and note - it's not the mother insisting, it's the grandmother). How do I have a conversation with her or at least my M-I-L (it's her cousin) to let her know that it is our wish NOT to have children attend - and there are other couples that are respecting these wishes! I think it's rude both to us and those guests that have respected our wish to simply assume that this is ok.

Amber the Celebrant

It sounds like you have been really clear with your request so it might be time to lay it on the line.

Perhaps approaching from the "we would love you to be fully present at the wedding and we fear that the baby will be a distraction for you" angle might work.

Otherwise l would just say what you have said - "other guests have made arrangements for their children so you need to as well."

Like a mobile phone, some people are going to listen and respect, others will do what they want no matter what you say. Fingers crossed you get your point cross or else the baby sleeps through the whole thing :D

What vows would you recommend for a commitment ceremony?

Amber the Celebrant

A commitment ceremony is a public declaration/performance but your vows are really a personal promise that we are all eavesdropping on. Have a think about what you want to promise or what your commitment is. What do you pledge to do or be for that person? Get inspired by your favourite song, poem, story, saying but don't say anything you don't really mean.
