OVERVIEW
I'm a Marriage Celebrant. I believe that love knows no gender. It knows no age, no race, no religion. If two adults love each other and want to marry, I want to see them achieve that goal. Your happiness is my happiness. (Ugh, another cliche! Why do they all have to be so true?!)
The truth is, you’re either going to like me or you won’t, a statement that rings true as a description for every individual personality on the planet. Personally, I hope that you’ll like me. I’m a bit of a people pleaser by nature, but I will admit that I do come off a bit high-energy sometimes.
I like to describe myself as assertive, fun-loving and quirky. I'm a bubbly geek.
I’m big on equality. Same-sex marriage is a cause I have campaigned for since I was a teenager, and I will continue to do so for as long as it takes to be not only legal across Australia (which it is now! WOOT!) but also all over the globe.
When I write your ceremonies, I try to get to know you so that I can craft a personalised ceremony that is unique just to you. I dislike the word "bespoke" because everyone uses it nowadays, but that's the service I try to provide for you. My goal is to see you 100% happy with your ceremony script, and to make sure that your ceremony is exactly the way you have always imagined it to be.
About
Why am I a marriage celebrant? The cliche -but nevertheless true- explanation is that I love love. I love seeing people in love. I love hearing stories about how people met, how they knew that the person they are with is the one they want to spend the rest of their lives with. I love knowing that these very same people are trusting me with the greatest honour of being there and helping them declare that very intention to their closest friends and family.

As a general rule of thumb, no. I prefer to give each couple my full attention on their wedding day. This also means that there's nowhere near as much stress on my brides and grooms if they happen to run a little behind schedule on the day, which happens more often than you'd think.
Yes, I do. It's a wireless system (so doesn't need any additional power) and I can play your ceremony music through it as well if this is something you would like me to arrange for you.
I usually ask for a non-refundable booking fee within 7 days of you officially booking my services (but I generally like to meet in person before you officially decide to book me - I'm a big believer that you have to click with and have a rapport with your celebrant!) and then the balance of your invoice isn't due until 14 days before your ceremony date.
Of course! I can offer guidance, examples, resources and even sit with you to write them. I'm all about making the process of getting married as stress free for you as possible.
