OVERVIEW

I take the time to get to know my couples so I have the best opportunity to create a customized ceremony for each and everyone.

Congratulations, you are getting married, what a wonderful time for you both! I know there is a lot of organizing for you to do now to create your very own special day.

A celebrant has a unique role in your celebrations and it is important that you feel comfortable with your choice.

My aim is to ensure that your dream day transfers into reality. You need to know that your special day will reflective of your own feelings and desires.

I believe that to craft a meaningful ceremony the Bride and Groom need to feel confident and comfortable with their celebrant. I take the time to get to know my couples so that I have the best opportunity to create a customized ceremony for everyone.

By the time the big day arrives I like to know that my Bride and Groom are confident in both myself and the day’s proceedings and that they feel calm and relaxed and able to enjoy the day to its fullest.

I take great pride in ensuring that every little detail is attended to, that the day is as stress free as possible and that all is perfect on your special day. I love the excitement and anticipation of every ceremony as well as watching the reaction of family and friends as the ceremony unfolds.

Please feel free to meet up with me to have a chat and a cuppa - I look forward to meeting and talking with you shortly, about your special day.

FAQ

I believe that couples should interview a few celebrants to ensure that their chosen celebrant is able to reflect their own ideals and thoughts for their wedding day  In addition they should feel comfortable and confident that their chosen celebrant is capable of conducting their ceremony in a professional manner on the day.

Your celebrant is the only essential part of your big day - without a celebrant you really cannot be married!!!  In saying this however price is something that is purely subjective, more importantly is whether you consider the person you have chosen will conduct your ceremony as you have dreamed it would be - then whatever they charge is well worth it!!

It is usual practice that a deposit is taken initially to secure the date and time with the balance payable prior to the wedding being conducted.

Not at all - there are some legal words that MUST be spoken during the ceremony but the majority of your ceremony may be structured as you wish.

You would need to decide whether you wish your ceremony to be short. long, traditional, quirky, relaxed, formal - there are so many options that is why engaging the services of a celebrant gives you such a fantastic opportunity to celebrate your love in YOUR very own way!!!

Whilst it is not mandatory to hold a rehearsal, it is my firm belief that a rehearsal does help to soothe the nerves and familiarise the wedding group as to what to expect on the day - it certainly ensures that the wedding group appears to be more coordinated and relaxed on the day thus projecting a professional image to your guests.

My groom did not want a church wedding or any reference to God, despite my difficult groom, Kerryn put a beautiful ceremony together that only required minor tweeking it was perfect

Leading up to the wedding Kerryn was so professional, caring and listened to our needs. She provided a great service and her words were so beautifully constructed. On the day of the wedding it flowed beautifully. I have nothing but praise for her! The amount of work she did, her availability for us and she changed a reasonable fee. The whole ceremony was so personable and she became your friend at the end it!

Hi Megan, Thank you for your lovely feedback! Warmest regards, Kerryn

We met with Kerryn a couple of weeks before and we customised the ceremony together. She also had great suggestions for where to stand on the day and what would work best. Highly recommend!

Are there any affordable celebrants out there for a simple ceremony?

Hi, I'm looking for a celebrant to perform a simple (yet still professional) wedding ceremony. I don't want all the usual song and dance or long storytelling - just a simple, sweet and short ceremony. And a streamlined process in the lead up with whatever legalities are required; no coaching, or coffee catch ups as I'm just not that kind of bride. Are there any celebrants out there that do this and are affordable? (Needs to be under $500) Thanks for your suggestions :)

Alessia, the cost of your celebrant should not be your defining point - it should be how you feel about the person that is to perform the most important part of your wedding day - the curtain raiser to the big event - the only part of the day that cannot be deleted!! The person you choose should be able to reflect YOUR feelings to your guests and should "set the scene" for the rest of the wedding celebrations. Do you want your guests to sit/stand through a brief ceremony that has no connection to you and your fiance (and worse still - a ceremony that is stilted and disorganised?) and then go off and begin the celebrations or would you prefer to create a fantastic atmosphere and anticipation which then would naturally roll into your wedding celebrations? How much are you prepared to pay for your flowers, your dress, the cake, the venue - all these may be deleted and you would still be married and yet you want to put a cap on the only part of the ceremony that is essential? Every wedding has a legal aspect and every wedding must abide by these rules - admittedly you could opt for a "standard" type of wording that is not personalised and delete the poetry etc within - however essentially the same amount of time and effort is required for each and every ceremony - traveling to and from setting up, preparing the legal paperwork etc etc.

You only have one chance to create your big day - make sure that you do it justice. My advise to you is to talk to a few celebrants and see what they have to offer, make sure that you feel comfortable with them and are confident that they can conduct your ceremony on the day, you need to make sure they will fit in with the type of atmosphere that you are wanting for YOUR big day. Then look at the price.

Depending on the location for your big day, I would be pleased to be one of the celebrants that you choose to interview.
