Hundreds of pages of wedding goodness!

It seems inevitable caterer Kate White would end up working in the wedding industry.

Even as a child, when visiting her grandmother in Sydney, she would drop whatever she was doing and rush to nearby St Mark's whenever she heard its bells pealing because she knew someone was getting married.

Kate would run down to the church as quickly as possible in the hopes of catching a glimpse of the newlyweds and their bridal party – and decades later, she remains as fascinated by weddings and works as a wedding stylist and wedding caterer with her own husband, Mark.

Her latest creation is The Australian Wedding Book, a massive 360 pages of wedding guidance that takes brides-to-be (or grooms-to-be for that matter) through the entire wedding process, from the day they’re engaged through to the honeymoon.

With its gorgeous illustrations and sensible advice, Kate’s book is the result of many years’ experience in the wedding industry. She’s seen, catered for or organised hundreds of weddings - – and it shows.

From tips for spending time with guests on your big day and choosing transport to bouquet alternatives and how to hire a DJ, the book contains dozens of tips and tricks for getting to and getting through your wedding day. It also features charts galore, including types of engagement rings, an anniversary gift guide and suggestions for wedding music.

The Australian Wedding Book is a thoroughly practical companion but also a beautifully crafted one that is crammed full of sumptuous photography and lovely stories of real weddings.
