How many bridesmaids is too many?

You can have as many bridesmaids as you wish.  We think it depends on whether you are wishing for a more intimate wedding or a extravaganza. Most of  the bridal parties we dress are 3-5 in the bridal party. At the end of the day its about surrounding yourself with your nearest and dearest. 

You can have as many as you wish, there is no set rule. Yes, having many bridesmaids does make it a little more difficult as far as choosing bridesmaids dresses go, but certainly not impossible. Also that depends a lot on their personality and their relationship with you. One thing we have found that couples find difficult is matching them with groomsmen, just because you have a lot of female friends and/or relatives doesn't mean you have the same amount of male friends or relatives. So the question is do you want the same amount of groomsmen? Definitely do what makes you happy!! It is YOUR wedding don't let others dictate something you are not happy with :)

A bridal entourage of 2 to 4 girls is considered the most manageable number of bridesmaids especially given the variance in sizing and tastes of the girls. More than 4 can create a huge problem in terms of finding dresses to suit the various body shapes and colours to suit the differing skin tones.
